Developing Quantitative & Verbal Analytical Skills

In short, GMAT (the Graduate Management Admission Test) is a test that assesses the quantitative and verbal analytical skills of candidates who wish to apply for Graduate Business Schools (i.e. MBA). Your GMAT score can even impact your post-graduate employment opportunities.

It is undoubtedly one of the hardest standardized tests (along with LSAT and GRE) in the world. A good GMAT score is 700 or above, and that is the 88th percentile. The test is split into the following sections:

  • Reading Comprehension

  • Critical Reasoning

  • Sentence Correction

  • Problem Solving

  • Data Sufficiency

  • Integrated Reasoning

Despite its breadth and depth, this test can be prepared and learned. For example, the math section covers topics such as algebra, geometry, number theory, etc, and most of them are covered in Ontario High School curriculums. When we prepare for this test, part of the effort goes into understanding the knowledge and the concepts while the other part goes into familiarizing with the "tricks".

Whether you are just starting out or finding yourself struggling to break through the 700 mark, our workshops can help you both understand the knowledge and familiarize yourself with the "tricks". We break the difficult concepts into bite-size chunks and focus on only one type of questions at a time. We also use real questions from GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council).
